I am not going to get into the Viginia Tech shooting at all. But, I am going to get into the right to own and bear arms. Some people say it is our God given right to own guns. Maybe. Maybe not.
I think "maybe" because a long time ago a famous couple got kicked out of a garden. How bad do you have to screw-up to get kicked out of a garden? Another story, another time. So, after that, everything changed. The guys picked up sticks and stones. Weapons anyone? Then they progressed to clubs and spears. Then they progressed to metals and had swords and shields and bow and arrows and you name it. I think everyone had some variation of these all through history. You gonna hunt or fight? You're gonna do both.
Then they got smarter and invented black powder which is used as gun powder. Then they invented "rifles" and "handguns" that used the powder and lead balls. These firearms were tweaked and improved upon over the years so that we have some might fine rifles and handguns. But, anyway, everyone who was anyone at all, had one or more to satisfy their hunting needs and self protection and protection of their family. Maybe not a God given right, but it is a right to own firearms.
Do you know what month is 'Buy a Firearm Month'? Well, if you don't, I'll tell you. It's January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. Those are the 'Buy a Firearm Months'. Then there is the 'Buy a Firearm Day'. Those days are the first weekend of every month not listed in the 'Buy a Firearm Month'. Well, what about ammo you ask. Simple. Every day is 'Buy Ammo Day'.
So, If you don't have a firearm (why not?), you better get one. Great for self preservation and they do make some nice family heirlooms. And guys, teach your wives and daughters how to handle a firearm. It could save theirs and their family's lives.
Some people are scared to death of firearms. Catch your breath and hold on. These people are scared because of ignorance. A firearm is nothing but a mechanical device. Thats right, just a mechanical device, no electricity or other electronics that can make them confusing. Just simple mechanics. There are buttons or little levers to open these things up. You open it up and insert a bullet and close it again. Gun is loaded and in the case of some rifles, it is ready to shoot. Put the saftey on. Now, you better be scared, and I mean everyone. No time for carelessness now.
Handguns and some rifles need to be cocked at this time before you can shoot. Same procedure, put the safety on. When you are ready to shoot; ease the safety off, aim at your target, and gently squeeze the trigger. BANG!!! You did it. See how easy that was. Nothing to fear but ignorance of the operation of a firearm. Now you can control any situation where someone intent on doing some harm can be stopped. Talk about equal rights! This is the equalizer.
Remember, practice, practice, practice.

End Times
I believe we are living in the end times. Let me backup a minute here. I know we are living in the end times. How can I possibly know this? Because, the Bible tells me so. And, I am not a bible scholar.
We can start out looking at Daniel 12:4 where it is written that 'many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased'. Lets examine this a little bit further. 'Many shall run to and fro', means just that. Aren't people today traveling everywhere? By any means available? Airplanes and cars are the biggest people movers and they are moving people all over the planet all the time. Then there is this; 'knowledge shall be increased'. Look back over history and look at the last 100 - 125 years. That was the biggest explosion ever of knowledge and more is coming and at a faster clip that we can't keep up with it. OK, I can't keep up with it.
Then, there is Mathew 24 where Jesus is telling his Disciples about the end times. All kinds of things that we can observe going on right now. Oh yeah, then there is this little tidbit in verse 34 where he says this: This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Did you get the first part? This generation shall not pass .....
Then my favorite verses. 2nd Timothy 3:1-7. All kinds of things going on that is quite evident, even to the most casual observer. I really like verse 7: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Someone hit me with a 2 x 4 if this isn't talking about college professors the world over. And these clowns are supposedly teaching our kids and grandkids. Is there some repetition going on here? Yeah, I thought so. Daniel said this about knowledge being increased.
Then, of course there is the book of Revelations. Again, all kinds of things going on; especially wars and who is ganging up on Israel. Daniel 11 tells me, I don't know about you, that it is going to be Russia and Iran. And who is playing so well together today in the sandbox. Oh yeah, the anti-christ, too.
Now, we come to the crux of the matter. After reading these different passages of coming events, anyone notice that the good ol' USA is not mentioned. Nothing at all about the West. But, aren't we the greatest nation that ever came along. Look at what we have done for ourselves and others on this planet. Anytime there is a need, we are the charitable ones that help out. Someone being bullied, we stop it. Etc. Etc. Etc. Well, guess what folks. We are going under.
Political correctness and moral relativism are eating away at our society and culture. We cannot and do not recognize evil when we see it and heaven forbid we should label it as such when something does happen or is said. And, more important than that, don't do anything about it. Don't repudiate it. Just accept it and move along. This is why we are going under. We are rotting from the inside out.
We are no different than Europe right now. No morals. No strength of character. No integrity. Nothing. I'm talking about the majority of the people in this country now. That is why I don't expect a real conservative (national security, law and order, christian values) to ever being elected again.
I give this country 15 more years, at the most. That is 3 election cycles. It could happen sooner than that. Then after our demise, then all of the other things really fall into place.
I also believe that the anti-christ is alive and well in the world today. He (she?) is now attending a prestigious school someplace and becoming fully indoctrinated by above mentioned college professors. Also, this young, brillant, personable, individual will say that he was inspired by some despicable leader who is on the world stage now. Remember now, this is the anti-christ. No moral compass at all and its all about him. Everything to advance his own personal agenda and himself.
Now, what catastrophic event could happen that would reverse or stall these forecoming disasters? Nothing devine because that would mean that mankind has looked at itself and came to the conclusion that we are screwed up and need to change our ways. Anyone see that happening? Anyone?
Lets play with this idea for awhile. Suppose there was another big outbreak of some killer disease, like the plague, and killed off half of the planet. Billions dead. And luckily enough, the right people are gone. Miraculously a cure is discovered and mankind is spared and lives on. I'm not buying this idea because this smacks of devine intervention. Stop and think about it, devine intervention is available now, but no one is going there. See the first 4 paragraphs of this post. We are in one big spiral heading down the drain.
If I'm right, I look like a genius. If I'm wrong, then I am someone to be ridiculed. But, then again in 15 years, who will care what I said 15 years ago.

Campaign Trail
What's up with the democrats? How come they always get away with this? I'm going to cut-and-paste part of a news article from newsmax.com: "Clinton and Obama, the party's top 2008 presidential contenders, will be in Selma, Ala., Sunday to observe the 42nd anniversary of a civil rights march that helped end racial segregation in the South. Obama is scheduled to deliver the day's keynote address at a Selma church that morning, with Sen. Clinton speaking at another church nearby".
These 2 are going to be campaigning in churches. Just like other democrats have done in the past when they are in the South. Can you possibly imagine what the outcry would be if a republican candidate for any office spoke during a church service? The candidate would be ripped. The church would be ripped. The IRS would be all over the church.
Now, this is going to sound racist to someone, but I don't care. What are these black people thinking? They are not thinking and are not thinkers. They're being played for the fools that they are. Even Obama knows whats going on. People like Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Michael Steele are called 'oreos' because they made it on their own and their desire to succeed. And there are more like these people who do strive to succeed and do succeed. And I'm not talking about those 2 despicable reverends.

Science - Evolution
I believe this is a bogus religion. This is something you have to believe in. There isn’t any proof evolution works, has existed, or exists now. If evolution had happened, when did it stop and why did it stop. If it is still going on, why do we have the Endangered Species Act? What do we care if some animal, fish, or plant becomes extinct? Isn’t that the process of survival of the fittest working? Again, so what. With evolution going on, isn’t something evolving right now that will be better and stronger than what went extinct? Then also, if evolution is going on (hasn’t stopped), shouldn’t we be able to observe it? Something slowly but surely changing over into something else that never existed before? Then how did cells decide to come together and create, strike that word create, and make an organ, then the organs decide to get together and make an organism - something new and unique. How did a cell ‘evolve’ into becoming a bone cell? Another into a muscle cell? Another into a cartilage cell? Another into a leaf cell?
Even Charles Darwin himself admitted that if an example of irreducible complexity were ever found, his theory of natural selection would crumble. Irreducible complexity asserts that certain biochemical systems in nature contain parts that are too well matched to be products of evolution.
Okay, I cut and pasted this last paragraph from LiveScience.com. Here is the link for that:
http://www.livescience.com/othernews/050923_ID_science.html Then for more reading on this, here is another link: http://www.livescience.com/othernews/051109_evolution_science.html
These links are where LiveScience is trying to debunk the arguments that evolution doesn't exist. But, in my estimation, they are too caught up with themselves to see the folly of their own arguments. IMHO.
I read LiveScience.com once in awhile for the outrageous things they say and believe. I will say that sometimes some of it makes sense and you can learn something from it. They also have a tab at the top of their website for SPACE.com. Enough of this for now. Later.

Science - Big Bang Theory
I believe the Big Bang theory is fact. That is just another way to say creation. This is one subject where science and scientists have really painted themselves into a corner. They've been searching the heavens trying to figure out where we came from and how we came into being. Where did all of this come from? They came up with the Big Bang theory. The big bang was a big explosion that expanded into being the universe. Hence, something and everything from nothing. That is Creation. Let me say that again. Something from nothing is the true definition of creation.
Okay, lets play with this for awhile. Lets pretend that this has happened before and will happen again. Let me explain. Supposedly the universe is expanding and eventually will stop expanding. Then it will start contracting and will collapse in on itself. Sounds like the makings of a huge black hole. You know, where matter falls into this thing and the gravity is so intense that not even light can escape from it. So let me carry this a little bit further. Now there is this huge black hole and everything is compressed into it. I mean the whole universe is compressed into this black hole. Now, there is so much pressure built up on the inside of this thing that KABOOM !!! A big bang explosion. Is this an ongoing event? How many times has this happened before? Will it happen again? My answers to my questions are no, zero, and no. Like Bill O'Reilly asks, what say you?

Al Gore's Academy Award
This is the headline from DRUDGEREPORT.COM at 2:00 cst Sunday afternoon: DICAPRIO WILL PRESENT TO GORE, 'SUNSHINE' PRODUCERS ALLOWED ON STAGE... MORE...
You can start sending my donuts to me. I like chocolate old fashion donuts. I really like the chocolate old fashion donuts with chocolat frosting. This is soooo very sweet.

Global Warming - Part 2
This is Saturday, the day before the Oscars presentations. I will bet $100 to your 1 donut that Al Gore receives 2 Oscars, not 1, but 2. Has anyone noticed that these so-called "climatologists" are now talking climate change instead of global warming. They're beginning to give themselves some wiggle room when their computer models don't match up with reality. I've been in the computer programming business. Bad programming and incorrect data equals GIGO, garbage in, garbage out. Sometime I'm going to vent about that sometime, too. The infighting in IT.
How old is the universe? How old is the earth? What I've learned over the years is the universe is somewheres around 15 billion years old. The earth is around 3 - 4 billion years old. Okay, I'll give you that number or any number you want. Now, I've also picked up this little piece of information: Ecclesiastes 1:7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
Like Glen Beck says, I've got blood shooting out of my eyes. You mean to tell me that this has been going on for billions of years? Glaciers breaking off and dropping into the oceans? I don't know the correct terminolgy for this, but we are living in a closed or open system. Thats what I don't know, if its open or closed. But we are in a system. Rising sea levels flooding coastlines and the cities that are there. People losing their lives. The horror! The horror!
Wait! This has happened in the past. But that time, some guy got a heads-up and built a boat. Yeah, got his family and some animals on board. Yeah, then it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Yeah, it was all over in a matter of DAYS! Seems to me that there was a promise made that this wouldn't happen again, too.
Now, we have some people predicting that this is going to happen again and by god don't question their methods or data. I'm going to rant about scientists sometime, too.
I'm not watching that crap Sunday night. After hearing about the Goracle being nominated for best documentary, any interest that I might have had really nose-dived. I don't know what other "documentaries" have been made, but if you had worked real hard and produced a documentary on some worthwhile subject and were honest in your presentation of the facts that you had dug up and then this is your "reward" for your effort. A slam-dunk against you, no matter what? Gotta feel for those people. Gotta go, catch you later.

Anna Nicole Smith and Brittney Spears
The behaviour of these 2 women is downright awful. Not to say that it is only these 2 women that behave like alley cats, there are some men who are just as disgraceful. Unfortunately, ANS has died and this has caused a media storm covering her life and the ongoing trials. Now, there is a media storm on Brittney's checking in and out of rehab centers.
God, what are they looking for? Jesus Christ, what is missing in their lives?

Minnesota
Was out of town yesterday and returned about 9:00 p.m. As I like to do, I turned on the computer and checked my favorite websites: DRUDGEREPORT.com and HOTAIR.com to see what was happening.
First, drudgereport had a headline that a university was going to bestow an honory doctorate degree on Al Gore for his work on global warming. The university had not been identified. Then I went to hotair and sure enough, they had it posted too and the commentators were a little upset, to say the least. Went back to drudgereport and read the article. Didn't identify the U but did mention the U president's name; Robert H. Bruininks. The name looked familiar. So I did a google search on him and lo and behold, the University of Minnesota came up. What can I say? Living in a blue state is very hard on a person's mental health. The article is gone from Drudgereport but is still on at Hotair.
Minnesota. Look at the natural resources and natural beauty of this state. Iron ore mining. Forestry and forestry products. Agriculture. Manufacturing. This is one of the few states that has it all. Look at some of the people that have come out of here. Sears of Sears, Roebuck, and Co. Curt Carlson of Gold Bond Stamps and then hotels and restaraunts. Mayo brothers of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and now in the Phoenix, AZ area. Bert Gamble and Phil Skogmo of the Gamble-Skogomo hardware stores that were all over the midwest. General Mill - Cheerios. Medical devices firms Medtronic and St. Jude. 3M - scotch tape and many other products. I could go on and on about this. Like I said a unique state that has many talents.
Then the natural beauty of the north country. North shore of Lake Superior. The forests and the many lakes. These are not scum laden and green algea growing lakes. The water is so clean and clear that loons live on them. Yeah, that is another thing; the wildlife that thrives here. Then moving to the northwest and the Red River Valley (shared by ND). Fertile farmland that grows sugar beets. Then moving south of there you run into more farmland that is quite productive and then to southern MN where the rich black soil runs feet deep, not inches. Left from the glaciers. I need to mention the Lake Agizziz area of northern MN. Again, this is very fertile farmland. This is the very northern part up by Rouseau and Warroad.
But, the people in this state are so.... so.... insane. Is that the word? Look at the politicians that have come from here. Hubert Humphrey. Eugene McCarthy. Remember this guy, Wendell Anderson. These people were highly respected and put on the national stage. Mark Dayton. These guys? What state do you think that Taxachusetts used as their role model?
Now the U of MN wants to give an "honorary degree for his work in climatology" to Al Gore. How about our republican senator Norm Coleman voting with the democrats for this resolution condemning the president and the troops. That's what it is folks. Anyway, we won't have Norm Coleman to worry about after the next election cycle. We are going to have Senator Al Franken. Oh, and we already have congressman Keith Ellingson.
Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and South Dakota are beginning to look pretty good.

Like Putting Steel to a Grindstone - Sparks
Flying Everywhere
Just read a couple of articles about global warming and extracting the remaining oil. OH MY GOD! That's a christian woman having sex. Here is an atheist woman having sex; oh my ..... Oh my? All right, enough of that, move along.
First global warming. Anyone who disagrees with this scenario is threatened with losing their jobs and labeled as lower than Holocaust Deniers and the unwashed masses. Remember in the 70's they were screeching about global cooling at that time. Could have convinced me. I remember those cold winters; but of course I live in Minnesota.
I have my own motive for seeing more of this global warming and the melting of the ice caps. I am especially interested in seeing Greenland lose all of their ice. My remembrance of history may not be exactly right, but here goes. Leif Erickson aka Eric the Red sailed west from Norway and landed on Iceland and Greenland. I believe (not know for sure) that he was the original explorer / settler of these 2 islands. Greenland for sure. But anyway, he named Iceland correctly, but Greenland? I remember in a grade school class this was being taught and the teacher asks, in a rhetorical way, why would he name Greenland green land? Get it? That has always stuck with me. Then last year or so the History Channel ran a program called the Little Ice Age. Don't know if you saw this or not. But, this happened in the 1400 - 1500's. Because the program talked about the settlers in this country where there was no summer at all to plant new crops to see them through the following winter. Now, this was all over the northern hemisphere. Very cold temperatures, crops did not thrive, and massive starvations because of this. This lasted for quite awhile. Back to Greenland. If all of the ice melts, then there should be proof of settlements on that island further inland.
Hasn't the earth always gone thru cooling and warming periods? Trying to put all of the 'blame' on humans just doesn't cut it. Hit by an asteroid once in a while, volcanoes, and don't forget about the sun figuring in on some of this.
Burning fossil fuels pumps all of this carbon dioxide into the atomsphere. Again, from my science classes, CO2 is supposed to be good for trees, grass, and other plants. Now I'm going to get ridiculous here. Yeah, I know, get ridiculous. If you wanted to commit suicide and put a rubber hose from you car's exhaust pipe into your mouth, you would die of carbon ??? posioning. How about this? You go to the hardware store and buy a carbon ??? detector to put in your utility room where your gas furnace and gas hot water heater are. If you said monoxide, you're the winner in this little exercise and you get a cigar. What? You said your name is Bill Clinton? Give me that cigar back!
All right, I'm not a chemist, so I don't know the whole makeup / composition of these exhaust gasses. Follow the money on this issue. Who is getting large grants ($) to study this phenomen?
Its also political to destroy the USA's large and successful capitalist system.
Oil reserves and alternative fuels.
Yes, oil will run out sometime. Hard to say when though because of oil reserves off shore and then there is oil shale. I've read some material on oil shale in China and they are developing ways to extract oil from this stuff. The same articles went on to say that there are huge oil shale deposits in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. I also heard many years ago that South Dakota has a huge amount of oil shale. Remains to be seen what the economies of developing this stuff is.
There is talk of alternative energy sources like ethanol and hydrogen. Production of ethanol is great for the farmers who grow corn. Then if they can produce ethanol from any green stuff like grasses or other plants that can be grown economically, great. An advantage to this is 2 fold. First, take all of the land in CRP and put back into production. Second, taxpayers don't pay to idle land. Oops, just got the farmers mad at me.
Now, the downside to producing ethanol is the huge amount of water that is used in the production process. Where is this coming from. Deep wells? Plant close to a river? The farmers around here do alot of irrigation with wells. Problems with that is people are concerned with the depletion of the water aquifer for human use and then such a deep draw down on the aquifer could bring nitrates into the environment. Someone please help me out with this.
Hydrogen fuel cells sound like the answer to this problem. But, here are a couple of gotcha's.
If someone can figure out how to burn water; problem solved. Water should be the most flammable material on the planet, but it isn't. Its composed of 2 parts of Hydrogen and 1 part oxygen. H2O. Again, I'm not a chemist, but it must be the way the molecules are attached to each other. I'm hearing it takes more energy to seperate the gasses than it is economically feasible to use the end products. Then the byproduct of hydrogen fuel cells is water. What is this? Perpetual motion? You can get more energy out of a machine than what it takes to run it. I don't believe this and neither does anyone else.
So the byproduct of these hybrids; hydrogen and electric, is water. Is this a good thing? I don't know what the quantity of water would be. In the summer maybe not so much a problem. Winter. That is an entirely different thing. And I'm not talking about just the northern latitudes.
If the water is running out a discharge pipe you have ice on your roadways. Look at the winter this year that went deep into Texas, Oklahoma, and California. Accidents all over the place.
Lets say that some chemical engineer and a mechanical engineer discovers a way to pump water into your tank and the engine in your vehicle can take the water and break it down into a usable fuel as you need it. Like some glorified carbureator / fuel injectors on our engines now. Do you think these guys (gals) would be rich? But, that is the least of our concerns. How is the government going to tax this? Sorry, I am not a tax and spend democrat, but we do need taxes to maintain and build roads. People hooked up to city water are already metered. But, how much is for fuel and how much is for cooking, bathing, cleaning, watering the lawn, etc? What about private wells?
Now, I'm bragging. The 2 Edge Sword cuts both ways.

President's Day
Happy Birthday to 3, yes 3, great presidents! ! !
Ronald Reagan - 2/06
Abe Lincoln - 2/12
George Washington - 2/22
I still want some organization to get the ball rolling on this. I want Ronald Reagan on Mt. Rushmore. If someone can get this going, I would be more than willing to contribute some $$$ to get this done.
Again, happy birthday guys. You did one heck of a job.

Hillary's Anti-War Stance and Election Prospects
She is in a real pickle. She would like to appease the anti-war far left wing of the party but can't. She had to vote for the Authorization to go to Baghdad. If she voted no back then, how would that stack up against Billy-boy's assessment of Saddam's WMD? He and all of his crew believed and said that Saddam had them.
But, not to worry. She will win the nomination.
Obama is too much of a light weight this go around. Not enough experience; state office and 2 years in the house isn't really showing his management experience where he can prove he can work with opposing view points, like a mayor or a governor. Also, if he is perceived as an "Oreo"; black on the outside and white on the inside, he is done. The guy has been to Harvard, so he is intelligent. Examples of "Oreo's" are Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Mike Steele. The left hate these people because they haven't played the victim card. But, Obama's wife wants to play the race / victim card; can't go to the gas station without fear of being shot. Boy, that can lead to another rant. Also, bigorty and prejudice are alive and well in this country. They would rather vote for anyone else than for a black person for this high of office. This guy won't make it. He is either an "Oreo" or else he comes off like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Not gonna fly.
John Edwards isn't going to the top of the ticket, either. The guy doesn't have the where-withal to even manage his own campaign team. Hires 2 bloggers that he never checked out their credentials and what they had done in the past. Then when it is called to his attention, doesn't know how to respond? Wonder where he would be now, if this happened in the corporate world. You know where he would be. But what am I getting worked up about? These are dems and that is life in the cesspool and septic tank. Their needles have fallen off their moral compasses.
Joe Biden? nah. Richardson of New Mexico. Could have a chance. Hispanic and a governor. Being a governor proves that you can govern somewhat. Dennis Kuchini (sic)? What a joke. Vilasak from Iowa? nah. Anyone else? nah.

God Does Exist and Does Answer Prayer
I can prove this.
Do you remember hundreds of thousands of Muslims taking to the streets and chanting Allah Akbar! Death to America!
Their prayers are being answered at this very minute. You can see their God in action in our congress. They are debating and signing this non-binding resolution to defund our troops. And its not only democrats signing on. So this is not a political rant.
Muslims around the world are strangely quiet. They can see this is happening and they are just patiently waiting for us to self-destruct.
If you have a different take on this, I would like to hear it.

Launching my Web Log - BLOG
I'm am totally fed up and cannot be sending out emails to everyone expressing my frustrations with current events, politicians, scientists, and religion.
I'm going to be talking about different subjects depending on what is grinding on me the most at the time. I will be touching upon all of the above mentioned subjects. When I say talk about them, expect nuclear waste topped off with some battery acid. When I say I'm going to touch upon some particular subject, it will be with the "touch" of a blacksmith. You know what they do. Put some piece of metal in a forge and get it red hot and then take it to an anvil and pound on it with a 5 pound hammer.
Another reason I'm starting a blog is because its a way for me to vent and anyone who doesn't agree with my position(s) on any subject(s) don't have to read them and they won't get their email boxes filled up. See, I'm looking out for you.
Another reason I'm getting into this is because, hopefully, I can enter into a dialogue and that will help me better understand my position. Either it will reinforce my position or maybe I need to change my position. After saying that, remember that I am a stubborn Norwegian and I am as flexible as an I-beam.
Now, after reading these few paragraphs, you can see that you are not dealing with an English major. All I can do is try to convey my thoughts in a way that is understood by the reader.
Anyway, good luck to all of us. We're going to need it.
